Travel Group’s corporate travel division Trip.Biz releases white paper for China market, sharing global expansion strategy

Data from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) show that China led the world in business travel spending in 2021 after declining business travel spending by 38% in 2020. As the domestic market recovers in 2021 China business travel spending rose 31.7%, more than double the global growth rate.

The newspaper shows 16.3% more companies in China worked with TMC (Travel Management Company) in 2021 compared to 2020, this figure grew by 24.6% in first-tier cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai as well as Guangzhou.

According to GBTA forecasts, China By 2024, the business travel market is expected to recover and surpass pre-pandemic levels, with total business travel spending exceeding $400 trillion. Accordingly, Group increased investment in the corporate travel supply chain by 86%, investment in product technology by 86% and service efficiency by 110% compared to 2019.
