The Government of Canada supports the expansion of tourism offerings and environmental practices based on La Base de plein-air Air-Eau-Bois.

Bowman tourism organization receives $100,000 in financial assistance from CED.

Supporting the tourism industry contributes to economic development in Quebec regions. That is why Stefan Lozon, Member of Parliament for Argenteuil Small Nation and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Rural Economic Development, is announcing today a donation of $100,000 from CED for Bowman organization in the Outaouais region. This announcement is made on behalf of the Honorable Pascal Saint-Onge, Member of Parliament for Brom-Missiskoy, Minister for Sports and Minister in charge of CED.

This is the government Canada The assistance provided under the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF) to mitigate the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will allow the organization to expand its tourism offering by adapting its product and adopting environmentally friendly practices.

In particular, CED’s support will allow La Base de plein-air Air-Eau-Bois to prepare the site, begin construction and install unique awnings, a toilet block and a kitchenette in the gazebo.

La Base de plein-air Air-Eau-Bois is an outdoor adventure destination that offers activities throughout the year. The organization is located in the Poisson Blanc Reservoir, a 25 km lake with nearly 80 islands. In addition to accommodation services, it has the infrastructure and equipment needed to host several outdoor activities.

The health crisis has hit the tourism sector hard, which is a key contributor to the Canadian economy. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the government Canada has taken various measures to help businesses affected by the effects of COVID-19.
