Table of the week: Vespers, new festive address on the left bank

A hyphen between cuisine and holiday spirit, Vesper stands out as a future Saint-Germain hit.

The third and latest brainchild of the Fitz Group (after Abstinence and Fitzgerald), the Vesper restaurant has all new festive and gastronomic features to awaken the wisest 7e district How ? With its ultra-chic exterior, hand-sewn by Lázaro Rosa-Violan, founder of the architecture studio of the same name, who designed the space like an expertly tamed urban jungle. We love the choice of materials: the light wooden ceiling, the mosaic floor and patterned wallpaper by House of Hackney and Pierre Frey. The space is intimate and warm enough to start the evening in the best accompaniment…

Intimate and cozy room décor with a shimmering ceiling designed by architect Lazaro Rosa-Violan.

After an introductory speech signed by the head bartender Agatha Potel, whose cocktails brilliantly combine the spices and flavors of Latin America or Japan, it’s time for the “summer” that has just arrived. Designed by Lucas Felzin, the avant-garde chef who opened the UMA Fusion Table 10 years ago, the menu itself is the promise of a wonderful journey, discovering French gastronomy intertwined with Nikkei influences. Courage, love of contrasts, impeccable marinade skills and cooking on a Japanese barbecue – this is how you can characterize Chef Felzin’s cuisine. Don’t miss: veal tacos with buckwheat, Nikkei guacamole and black shallots, black cod cod with miso and ajl amarillo or wagyu bavette sumiyaki, jalapeño sauce, peanuts, wasabi parsley. For raw fish lovers, sushi master Mitsuo Miyauchi, who worked for the Kinugawa company in Paris, offers about twenty items of sashimi, temaki and sushi every day. The last good point of this address? Its terrace, which allows you to play extra time on summer evenings…
