Greece launches new summer tourism campaign: “You’ll want to stay forever!”

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) launched its latest global campaign on Monday, inspired by a true story and based on the experience of a man who visited Greece as a tourist and decided to stay here forever.

GNTO’s new summer tourism campaign focuses on the emotions a person experiences when visiting Greece and conveys a message through storytelling: sometimes one vacation in Greece is all it takes to realize they’ve just found their new home.

“True history is the focus of our content this year, which touches the senses of travelers and focuses on the authenticity of Greece. The identity and authenticity are so strong that they will make the visitor think about staying in our country forever,” GNTO Secretary General. Dimitris Fragakissaid.

New Campaign Features Ottoan Austrian who visited Greece many years ago, but decided to stay in the country forever.

“The peace, simplicity and beauty he experienced motivated him to stay, work, start a family in Greece and ultimately change his life forever,” Greek Tourism Minister. Vasilis Kikilias said.

New creative with a message “Greece: You’ll want to stay forever”is the latest installment of the GNTO’s flagship “All You Need is Greece” campaign and follows the organization’s previous “Greece Has Winter” and “Greece” campaigns.

“Our summer campaign, following on from our successful winter and urban campaigns, is another part of our strategy to have a successful tourist season this year,” said Kikilias.

With the support of the Onassis Foundation, the promotion of the new summer tourism campaign has already begun in the target markets of Greek tourism.

The promotional video was produced by advertising, marketing and public relations agency Ogilvy.
