WEST – The Granite Theater will convey the beloved inexperienced ogre to life this month with “Shrek the Musical,” the place the ogre will get a girlfriend and discovers that friendship is so significantly better than loneliness.
Set within the legendary land of As soon as Upon a Time, Shrek the Musical is a remarkably goofy but candy story that tells the story of an enormous inexperienced ogre who, after being bullied and feared all his life, by something that crosses his path, goes into an unpleasant inexperienced swamp to exist in joyful isolation.
Out of the blue, a gang of homeless fairy story characters – Pinocchio, Cinderella, the Three Little Pigs, and others – raid his hideout, claiming they’ve been evicted by Lord Farquaad, who’s threatened by a vertical problem. So Shrek makes a deal: “I will get your homes again for those who give me again my home,” he tells them.
However when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord makes his personal deal: he’ll return the fairy-tale characters to their properties if Shrek saves Princess Fiona. Shrek agrees, however finds one thing enticing – one thing unusual and strange – on this fairly princess. He likes her. Tons… however why does she all the time run away when the solar goes down?
The present is produced and directed by Erin Souza-Stanley, Inventive Director of Granite, who invitations theatergoers to “come benefit from the music and the magic our troupe of actors create on stage and immerse your self within the potentialities fortunately ever after.”
The present is directed by music director Chris Stanley and the solid is led by Jaron Wilbur as Shrek and Grace Gilbert as Fiona.
