Gianni Versace’s huge New York home is up for sale for $70 million.

The former home of the late designer Gianni Versace is up for sale for $70 million (about 66.6 million euros). This huge house, located in New York, near Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side, was bought in 1995 by the founder of Versace for $7.5 million. The Versace family inherited this property after the murder of Gianni Versace in 1997 on the front porch of his Miami Beach home. It was then bought back in 2005 for $30 million before being brought back to the market for $70 million.

Apart from certain changes, the new owners wishing to part with their property wanted to stay true to the luxurious decorations designed by Gianni Versace. Italian marble, mosaics and Austrian parquet decorate the floors, walls and ceilings of this neoclassical mansion, which includes 11 bathrooms of almost 1,300 square meters and 6 floors served by elevators. Among the countless details, we can mention the presence of a roof terrace and a living room of 60 square meters, the painted ceiling of which resembles the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. In addition to the numerous bedrooms, the master bedroom occupies an entire floor and is equipped with, among other things, a separate living room and a spa area with a bar. The photos below speak for themselves.
