Fohi alumnus David Burnham to perform at Fontana | Entertainment

Fontana High School alumnus David Burnham, a renowned theater star, will return to Fontana for a special performance on Saturday, June 18th.

Burnham will present Broadway and Beyond at a 6:30 pm dinner at the Center Stage Theatre.

He will sing many of his favorite tunes from Broadway shows, standards and even some classic radio programs.

On Facebook, Burnham said he was very happy to present his show in his childhood hometown.

“The amazing Mark Vogel will be music director,” Burnham said. “I’m so excited this will be the first time Mark and I are doing a live show together in a few years.”

Burnham was last seen on Broadway in the mega-hit musical Wicked, playing Fiyero, a tole he came up with in the show’s development workshops.

He was awarded the prestigious Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor as well as the Garland Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Fabrizio in the Lights in the Square national tour.

He first received critical acclaim when, after two years of searching, he was chosen to replace Donny Osmond as Joseph on the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat national tour.

In Las Vegas, Burnham filmed Showstoppers at the Wynn Resort.

Burnham made another appearance at the Center Stage last year, playing hits by Tom Jones.

The Center Stage Theater is located at 8463 Sierra Avenue. For tickets or more information, call (909) 429-7469 or visit www.CenterStageFontana.com.
