Egypt. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched an e-ticket system for the Mummification Museum and the Luxor Museum of Ancient Art in Luxor, the Esna Temple in Luxor and the Dendera Temple in Ken as part of the ministry’s digital transformation plan. .
Khaled Sharif, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation of Tourism and Antiquities, explained that the ministry’s plan for digital transformation aims to activate the electronic system in 30 open-air archaeological sites and museums, which is planned to be fully implemented by the end of 2022.
Sheriff said that the use of the e-ticketing system will greatly improve the experience of visitors to Egypt and tourists during their visits, as well as speed up and facilitate the process of entering museums and archaeological sites, and at the same time help to get accurate information. the number of visitors, which contributes to tightening control over the process of entry and exit, preventing the use of fake tickets, as well as facilitating the inventory work and statistics carried out by the Ministry for monitoring inbound tourist traffic to museums and archaeological sites.
The sheriff emphasized that the digital transformation projects implemented by the ministry contribute to increasing the efficiency and capabilities of ticket and cash-in-transit employees, familiarizing them with modern technological systems.
Islam Mamoun, director of the company responsible for the project, stressed that the company is making every effort to meet all the requirements for project implementation in accordance with the schedule set by the ministry.
