Playing the king of rock ‘n’ roll made the number on Austin Butler.

Tea Elvis The 30-year-old actor told the British QG that he was hospitalized and bedridden within a week of completing work on the upcoming film back in March 2021.

“I woke up at 4 a.m. in excruciating pain and was rushed to the hospital,” Butler said. “My body just started shutting down the day I finished Elvis“.

In accordance with QGButler was diagnosed with the virus and was hospitalized to be treated for a virus that mimics appendicitis.

This role meant a lot to Butler, who was involved in Elvis Presleya life story on a deep, emotional level. “I’ve never loved someone I’ve never met more than Elvis,” he said. “His mother passed away when he was 23 and my mother passed away when I was 23. So when I found out about this, I got cold feet and I just thought, ‘OK, I can understand that. ‘”

His image has already received the approval of the Presley family. Singer’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley, took to Instagram on May 6 to sing her praises. “I have seen Elvis movie, I’ve watched the trailer over a dozen times,” she wrote alongside the movie’s trailer. “But the words I heard from my daughter about how much she loves this movie and that Riley will love it too when she sees it brought tears to my eyes.”

Riley Keough, granddaughter of Elvis Presley, has since seen the film. She shared her thoughts during the Variety Women in Motion panel at the Cannes Film Festival, calling the viewing experience “very emotional”.

“I started crying after five minutes and couldn’t stop,” Kio said. “I am honored that they worked so hard to really understand his essence, to feel his essence. Austin captured it so beautifully.”
