Another district in Beijing closes entertainment venues to contain COVID outbreak

BEIJING, June 9 (Reuters) – Beijing, the Chinese capital, has closed entertainment venues in the Dongcheng area since Thursday to contain a new outbreak of COVID-19, the state-backed Beijing Daily reported late on Thursday.

The move comes after Beijing’s largest district, Chaoyang, also ordered entertainment centers and internet cafes to close from 2:00 pm (06:00 GMT) on Thursday.
