Travel agencies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand are interested in promoting Brunei as a tourist destination, the local travel agency’s general manager said after visiting the 4th Kuala Lumpur Tourism Market.

“We received a huge response from the travel agencies visiting the Brunei booth,” said Noor Khadija binti Abdullah, CEO of Straits Central Agencies (B) Sdn Bhd (SCA), adding that she has over 100 buyers interested in their inbound services.

SCA represented Brunei Darussalam – one of 34 countries at KLTM 2022 – and was supported by the Brunei Tourism Development Department with promotional and marketing materials that included presentation slides, four district brochures and some
promotional gifts.

Noor Khadija said the opportunity provided SCA with an opportunity to get to know the inbound tourism agency that handles domestic tourism, adding that they plan to do more roadshows in ASEAN countries to promote Brunei as a destination.
